Chase Long

Personal Trainer – Greenland, NH

Striving toward a higher quality of life filled with health, strength, mobility, and all the things those qualities let us do is what I’m all about.

My name is Chase, and in the winter of my freshman year of high school, all I wanted in the world was to quit the swim team. I just didn’t like it, but my parents aren’t the type to let you quit for a reason like that. After much debate, my mom convinced me to sign a contract with her: I’d lift weights and work out at home with P90X every day for the rest of the swim season. From there, my fascination with the human body, how it moves, and how we interact with food and the world around us only grew. It’s amazing what 10 lb dumbbells can do!

Today, I love living an active, free life while encouraging the people around me to do the same. I know it doesn’t look the same for everyone depending on how seasoned your bones are, but we all become happier, better humans when we keep moving. That’s what I’m here for. From college rugby to learning how to save a life as a medic with the U.S. Army, I’ve been blessed to see many people move through and past their ailments and obstacles and come out the other side living a life where their purpose can flourish.

My time here on the Seacoast has been filled with countless hours working side by side with people from 10 to 89 years old. Some are working through past injuries or surgeries, some are building athletic performance, some are learning to move in a more coordinated way, and some simply want to be strong enough to carry all the groceries inside in one trip! I’m sincerely grateful for how this community has shaped me as a person and a trainer. My priority is to share what insight I have, encourage you to work hard and sweat honestly, and be at your side as you grow into the person you need to be.

Outside the gym, I love getting outdoors. I love hiking (yes, very cliché, but of course I hike in NH, it’s beautiful), and I grew up going to the beach as often as I could, so it’s never far from me. My wife, Sarah, and I are very involved in our church community at Mercy Church in Newmarket, where we help lead the Youth Group. I’m also a big book guy, and my bookcases occasionally need rearranging to fit the overflow, so recommendations are always welcome.

We’re all trying to move forward here, and if you’re in the gym with me, I’m here to help you live the good and fun life. Let’s get after it!
